THE ELEVATED CROSSBODY BAG: Features a main zipper closure, a front zipper pocket, a back slit pocket, antique hardware, an adjustable webbing crossbody strap, and an interior with a back wall zipper pocket and two front wall elastic slide pockets.

PREMIUM ARTISANAL LEATHER: The bag's exterior is made of leather sourced from a Leather Working Group (LWG) gold-rated certified tannery. The Sak partners with LWG, sourcing over 90% of its leather from tanneries that comply with environmental sourcing processes and sustainable water usage. The bag's interior is PETA-approved and features Vegan Certified Repreve Lining, which is durable, water-repellent, stain-resistant, and made from recycled materials, including plastic bottles.

DIMENSIONS & CARE: The bag measures 10" L x 2" W x 12" H, with a 23" drop. To clean, use a water-based leather cleaner and moisturizer, and apply a protective spray to protect the leather surface.

The Sak is the original California lifestyle brand built on authentic design and hand-crafted details. Each of our high-quality leather and hand-crocheted bags is created thoughtfully to reflect our love of craftsmanship, artistry, and global influences.

The Sak was born in 1989 when childhood friends Mark Talucci and Todd Elliott left their corporate jobs to follow their dream of discovering new treasures and traveling the world. During a trip to Bali, Indonesia, they decided to start a business importing "found treasures" overseas to their hometown of San Francisco. A simple rattan and leather bag fashioned out of an everyday Balinese sleeping mat was brought back, sparking the idea to specialize in bags.

In 1994, the imported hand-crafted rattan bags were flying off retail shelves at major retailers, leading Mark and Todd to go one step further. The Sak brand originated from a simple, casual, and relaxed bag with universal appeal. Staying true to texture, they created a singular bag from a unique fabrication using hand-crocheted nylon string. Starting a crochet "craze," The Sak bag Style # 120 was an overnight hit, becoming one of the most iconic bags of the '90s.

CONSCIOUSLY CRAFTED: In partnership with Leather Working Group tanneries, we source 87% of our leather from tanneries that comply with environmental sourcing processes and sustainable water usage. It is our goal to source all of our leather from LWG certified tanneries by 2021.
